My Beach Bag Essentials

Hi Everyone! This week I will be leaving for vacation, so I thought now is a great time to share with you my beach bag essentials! Everything included I personally use for all my beach trips, and absolutely love them. I am also including where everything in my bag can be purchased so you can all check them out for yourselves! Enjoy! 1. Protect Your Skin! As much as most people crave a tan every time they go to the beach, it is extremely important to make sure your skin in protected from the summer sun. Personally, I try not to stay in the sunlight for long periods of time, as it can cause skin damage and increase the aging process of the skin. That being said, I make sure I utilize the proper products during these hot months.

For the body:

500

Vanicream Sunscreen Broad Spectrum SPF 30

Though any all over body sunscreen will do the job, I tend to stick to this particular brand. Vanicream sunscreen formula is made without the use of dyes, fragrance, paragons, formaldehyde, and other preservatives. In addition to that, it is also non-comedogenic, meaning it won’t clog pores, and does not have the typical sunscreen odor that I do not particularly care for. In regards to SPF, I recommend to use at least SPF 30, especially if you are going to be exposed to the sun for a long period of time.

For the lips:

EOS Visibly Soft Lip Balm in Coconut Milk

Since your lips are the thinest skin on your body, they are particularly prone to sun damage. I always make sure I keep some sort of lip balm with SPF in my beach bag at all times. This EOS balm contains SPF 15 and it’s cute egg shape is perfect to throw in your bag.

For the Face:

MO_oilfrm17

Mario Badescu Oil Free Moisturizer SPF 17

I use Mario Badescu products for all my facial skin care needs, including this daily moisturizer with SPF. When it comes to my face, I use SPF moisturizer all year round.

2. Hair Care

Frédéric Fekkai Summer Hair After Sun Daily Mask

This product is something I learned about recently, have tried, and enjoyed. I never really thought about the damage the sun could do to your hair, but it is definitely something to think about. After a long day at the beach, I tend to find my hair hot and dry. This product helps to regain moisture and sheen in your strands. Another remedy I use all year long as a natural hair mask is pure organic coconut oil. I lather throughout my hair at nighttime, and wash it out, thoroughly, in the shower in the morning.

3. Beach Snacks

Define Bottle Lite- 12 ounces

Fruit infuser bottles are super popular right now, and I can definitely understand why. Especially in the summer, it is extremely important to drink as much water as possible, and keep yourself hydrated. Drinking water has an endless number of benefits including for your skin, nails, and much more. Since drinking plain water can sometimes get boring, these fruit infuser bottles make it a little more fun. My favorite enhancers are cucumber, fresh mint, raspberries, and apples, but any of your favorite fruits will work! DIY Trail Mix Trail mix is a great snack for the beach, and making your own homemade trail mix is a lot healthier than any processed snack. Things that are essential to a yummy, healthy trail mix are dried fruit and nuts. I will be writing a separate post in the future with one of my personal favorite trail mix recipes, so be sure to check it out!

So whether its a day trip or you are going on vacation, grab a towel, beach chair, and these summer essentials, and you are fully prepared for a great day at the beach!
