Homemade Body Scrub: Coconut Lime

Hi!

Today I found the time to make one of my favorite things: homemade body scrub! Making my own body scrub at home allows me to know exactly each and every thing that goes into what I put on my body. Processed body scrubs can contain harsh chemicals, artificial fragrances, and a ton of other unnatural things that I would not want to use on my skin. This recipe is super simple and can be made quickly and easily with things laying around your pantry! Here is my recipe for my coconut lime DIY body scrub, all you need is three ingredients!

What you will need:

Granulated sugar (one and a half cups)

Organic coconut oil (one cup)

Two limes

An air tight jar

Step 1: Add the granulated sugar to your jar

Step 2: Add the room temperature coconut oil to jar. Coconut oil is one of my all time favorite things in the world! I use it for both cooking and for the skin, hair, and nails! It’s awesome for everything!

Step 3: Add the juice of one lime, and the zest of two limes to the jar. Limes have several beauty benefits including treating dark spots, anti aging, removing dead skin cells, and improving skin illumination.

Step 4: Carefully mix all the ingredients until smooth. Store in an airtight jar at room temperature- too much warmth can cause the scrub to be too liquidy, while cold temperatures will cause scrub to harden.
